Product Description
Calcium silicate 220 is made using inorganic siliceous and calcareous materials, treated through specialized technology such as high-temperature and high-pressure hydrothermal reaction. The product has achieved ISO9001 certification and demonstrates excellent performance at temperatures up to 650ºC. A key advantage is its superior protection for pipelines due to its ultra-low chloride ion content. Advanced production techniques have successfully reduced thermal conductivity from 0.065 to 0.049.
Our Advantages
✔ Good durability, withstands high temperatures within continuous heat load limits.
✔ Non-deformation within the specified temperature range.
✔ Unmatched adiabatic performance across the entire range.
✔ Lightweight with high strength – the highest among hard thermal insulation products.
✔ Long-term use without powdering or degradation.
✔ Easy construction using ordinary woodworking tools.
✔ Safe and hygienic: Asbestos-free, sulfur-free, and chlorine-free.
Applications
Commonly applied in insulation projects including tanks, tank bases, pipelines, vessels, cryogenic ships, and equipment. It serves industries such as petroleum, chemical, refrigeration, shipbuilding, national defense, and residential construction. It is suitable for severe environments: hot or cryogenic temperatures, underground, outdoors, flammable, wet, or chemical-exposed areas.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the maximum temperature Calcium Silicate 220 can withstand?
A: The standard Calcium Silicate 220 is designed for environments up to 650ºC, while our high-temperature board variant can withstand up to 1000ºC.
Q: Is this insulation material asbestos-free?
A: Yes, our calcium silicate products are 100% asbestos-free, sulfur-free, and chlorine-free, making them safe for both installers and the environment.
Q: Why is low chloride content important for pipeline insulation?
A: Super-low chloride ion content provides superior protection to stainless steel and metal pipelines by preventing stress corrosion cracking.
Q: Can the material be reused if it gets wet?
A: Yes, while the material should be kept dry for optimal performance, it can still be used effectively after it has been dried out following exposure to water.
Q: What tools are needed for installation?
A: The product is highly workable and can be cut or shaped using ordinary carpenter tools, allowing for easy onsite adjustments.
Q: What industries typically use these products?
A: It is widely used in petroleum, chemical processing, shipbuilding, power generation, and cryogenic storage industries for thermal management.
